Synopsis
Surface high pressure over the western Atlantic continues to provide moderate easterly to southeasterly breezes through the weekend. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected over the rest of the weekend as a front stalls over the northeastern Gulf, keeping rain chances elevated into early next week. Winds turn more northeasterly and increase to near advisory conditions starting Tuesday night and behind the front. Rain chances linger due to the stationary front nearby.
